You have a difficult choice if you are considering to plant only one tree. Both have advantages as well as disadvantages. It’s undoubtedly true that a deciduous tree will make more of a mess, but keep in mind that all trees shed leaves throughout the year.

 

Both are advised for large gardens and municipal parks. Nothing can beat the luxurious, evergreen foliage of the Natal Mahogany (Trichilia Emetica) or the magnificent spring foliage of the deciduous White Stinkwood (Celtis Africana), but the choice is your own.
