Notes : Genus of at least 150 species. This magnificent cultivar is fast growing. Withstands a wide range of climatic conditions and also stands up well to even coastal winds. Valued for its golden, fine, needle-like foliage. Makes an excellent background specimen or screen. Provides a striking contrast to shrubs and trees with stronger colours and more dense foliage. Not well-suited to cold, inland areas or to very hot, humid conditions. Plant in light, well-drained soil. Will need regular watering, until well-established, particularly in dry Summer weather. The fine foliage may be cut and used in flower arrangements. This plant was previously known as Melaleuca bracteata 'Johannesburg Gold'.
